This is a #storygram (mini-stories) from my Instagram, which you can get to via the social media links at the top of this site. I do my best to make them a daily thing for you to enjoy and share with your friends! I really love making them, as they allow me to simultaneously scratch my photography and writing itches while I’m busy with filmmaking. Thank you very much for reading and sharing them! Don’t forget to check out my film Portfolio too!

The Story:

Everyone would be there to watch the trial. His capture was such an incredible triumph that they constructed an arena just for the event.

The idea of a mob mentality was something familiar to Thomas Ardingale. He knew the rush of adrenaline that led to an impulse so strong a human becomes nothing more than an animal. And that animal didn’t stand a chance–its predator could not be reasoned with.

But today, he would get the chance to try. Today, he would be encircled by thousands of people who had become a large predator. They told him he had ten minutes to present his case to the snarling beast. He didn’t know if it could be persuaded.

He looked down at his handcuffs. Even gestures couldn’t speak for him. His only weapon was his words–but they are what got him here.

Surely, if his words could anger this many and construct an arena just for his trial, he could convince them that everything he had said was for them–it was always for them.

Thomas could hear the muffled roar of the crowd above him. They were chanting for his death, which would be at the end of his ten minutes.

A large door opened in front of him, letting in the volume of the crowd and the blinding lights of the arena.

His ten minutes had begun.
